В ней рассматривается его роль в развитии карстоведения, научной спелеологии, гидрогеологии и других наук. Им опубликовано большое количество статей по данной проблематике, он является автором двухтомной монографии «Основы карстоведения», которая положила начало развитию данной науки как самостоятельного направления в геологии.

en-US The article is devoted to the 110th anniversary since the birth of the outstanding scientist Georgiy Maksimovich. It examines its role in the development of karstology, scientific speleology, hydrogeology and other sciences. He has published numerous articles on this subject, he is the author of two volumes of the book "Fundamentals of Karstology", which initiated the development of this science as an independent direction in geology.
